I first heard about the “ daily delete” on a podcast I listen to. The podcaster had heard it from someone else she followed. But the gist was this- the original poster of the daily delete would take a few minutes every day and delete old photos from her phone and clear out her emails and messages. This helped keep her laptop and phone clean and tidy of excess “stuff”. I fell in love with that idea. If you’re anything like you me you have a few hundred photos, emails, and texts hanging out and taking up precious space on your devices. It would be so simple to take 10 minutes every day and just clear out the excess. Lighten the memory load. Neaten up things.
Then I got to thinking how I could use a “ daily delete” in so many other areas of my life. Not just my phone and laptop.
Social media accounts that make me feel discontent?

You can set a timer for 10-20 minutes every day and just declutter one drawer, one shelf, one surface or one corner of a room. 20 minutes. And when the timer goes off you’re done. How much decluttering could you get done in a month if you just did 20 minutes every day and that’s it? Clutter is such a mental and physical peace sucker. Dealing with clutter sucks up our time and both physical AND mental energy. DELETE IT from your life!
Taking time to ruthlessly delete things that drain your time, peace and energy will keep your days flowing much more smoothly and joyfully and help make time for what really matters.
Now that we’ve deleted all those joy sucking things we can add a few things back in.

Thank you, Melissa! I am easily overwhelmed, but this seems so simple and approachable. ❤️
Thank you for the challenge,Melissa!
I actually enjoy decluttering but seem to need a “block of time” to do it and that’s not always available! I need to work on being intentional about decluttering a little bit everyday!!
