Early this summer we spent a week at a Christian family camp. One unexpected place we spent a good amount of our time was at the bookstore. We only have one small Christian bookstore where we live, so this felt like a treat. In addition to books and camp gear (of course!), the store also carried home decor with bible verses. One picture in particular stood out to me while we were there - a plain white canvas decorated with bright wildflowers and the blessing from
I've been discouraged lately by all the division between people - it seems it's everywhere. I find peace in knowing in Christ all will be made well and we will all live in peace together one day.

This is beautiful, Jayna. And let us remember to comfort one another when there is trouble as Jesus did. ♥️ A close friend from nursing school now lives in Tennessee - he was the head of our small Christian nurses club - reached out to several of his nursing colleagues just to say that he was thinking of us as we head into another deep pandemic dive and praying for us. No politics. Just love and care. This simple gesture brought me to my knees and I just sobbed and prayed everything that I had been holding in for so long. My point is that simple acts of love and encouragement (or comfort to which the quote referred) can bring others closer to god - especially in personal or widespread times of trouble. There will be times of grave trouble, yes, but let us continue to shine lights to the best extent we are able. ♥️
Love this 👉🏼 “But our peace is not found in our obedience, our work, or in our #blessed moments. Our peace is found in him. His victory is the ultimate source of peace and it is always available for us to rest in it.”
I’ve had a “ troubled” summer and this is a great reminder that I just need to go to Him for peace even when stuff is falling apart around me♥️
Thanks for sharing, Jayna! I realized tonight that I never finished reading this when it came in! I just finished reading it--very good! One thing I do is rehearse the gospel to myself everyday (using the Gospel Primer by Milton Vincent) so that when facing troubling times, my perspective is anchored in Truth.
